Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010

Dr Elliott was Head of Medical Services for the Scottish Commonwealth Team, heading up a team of 6 Sports Medicine Physicians and 10 Sports Physiotherapists.  The Games were held in October 2010 and provided memorable moments for Scotlands best athletes in numerous sports from swimming to athletics and rugby 7's.

After initial concerns, the Games were a resounding success. 

6 Nations Womens Rugby

Dr Elliott was Doctor for the RBS 6-Nations squad.  Following a productive World Cup in London in 2010, the squad played the 2011 RBS Championship with an emphasis on developing the younger talent in Scottish Womens Rugby.  The 2012 season will be telling and exciting with games at home to England and France while both the men and women travel to Italy, Ireland and Wales.

• 3rd World Congress on Spotrs Injury Prevention, Monaco May 2011.  This congress was attended by over 650 delegates worldwide, the majority of whom are Sports & Exercise Medicine Physicians.
• UKSEM 2010 held in London where innovative appraoches to PRP injections and gene doping were debated and discussed.

• Dr Elliott is to present to the Scottish Foot and Ankle Surgeons Society at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in September 2011 on recent advances in treatment of achilles tendinosis.
